Art won’t be affected after the Islamists’ winning in most Arab elections, according to a poll conducted by ‘Arabstoday’. The voting rate in the poll was 35.4 per cent of ‘Arabstoday’ readers, 19.7 per cent of them expected increasing censorship with Islamists in power, 18.8% expected progress in art, while only 14.4 per cent expected the decline of art.
