Alaily blasts Egypt\'s Muslim Brotherhood

Egyptian cinema legend Ezzat el-Alaily has said that the overthrow of Islamist president Mohammed Morsi\'s regime has saved the country from further political decline. Alaily told Arab Today: \"The [Muslim] Brotherhood\'s rule would only have further divided the ?country, and fuelled sectarian strife between the people. \"It would have isolated Egypt from its loyal Arab allies who have supported the nation against global ?powers,\" he said. Alaily said he was confident stability would return to Egypt in the near future. \"The Brotherhood cannot accept Egypt\'s prosperity, they are cowards - and you can see how their leaders have escaped.\" The actor\'s recent television project Rabie al-Ghadab (The Spring Of Anger) was broadcast on Egyptian television during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The series was written by Magdy Saber, and also starred Fardous Abdel Hamid, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, and Amr ?Mahmoud Yassin. It was directed by Mohammed Fadel.
