Director Inas Al Dughaidi has admitted that she is not ashamed of knowing persons in prison, who she has personal and not working relationships with, who are linked to the old Egyptian regime and told Toni Khalifeh in an interview that she is pro the 25th January revolution and although she tried changing she missed her old friendships with them as they were based on care and humanity. Inas explained that corruption surrounds us all and she is unable to accuse one person of a crime in particular, but that it is their fault for not standing up to corruption in the first place. She continued: “we all need change but what’s happening today is causing so many problems; there’s no real democracy to till now.” She did stress that she would not be leaving Egypt even if the Muslim Brotherhood took over power as she is not against them but against the Fundamentalist trend as a whole as she believes that Egypt needs people from all different sects in its community. She said: “Egyptians won’t give power to religion alone, they are more cautious than this.” The director refused to discuss any of Sheikh Mohamed Hassan and Sheikh Yusuf Al Badri claiming that she does not know either one of them.
