The Celtic Tenors will return to one of Bahrain’s most popular restaurants for a live concert later this month. They will be performing at the revamped Upstairs Downstairs Restaurant, in Adliya, on September 27. The restaurant is newly refurbished to give it a more modern and brighter look, with the introduction of its new Zebra Lounge on the upper level offering cocktails and snacks. The Celtic Tenors have performed in front of sell-out crowds at the restaurant previously. With a polished international reputation and millions of album sales, they combine the skill, range and ability of world-class singers with the personality and fun of genuine performers. Irishmen Daryl, James and Matthew – and their musical director Vincent Lynch – offer more than beautiful voices and musical knowledge. Comfortable in all genres from classical and folk to Irish and pop, they take their audience on a musical voyage. From number one hits in Ireland and Germany (and number two in the UK) to their three platinum selling albums, their international reputation continues to grow. They have also achieved Top 10 spots in both the US Billboard and Canadian charts. Having given private performances to world leaders such as Bill Clinton and Kofi Annan, The Celtic Tenors are a worldwide phenomenon. Whether playing at a neighborhood cathedral or major concert halls in international cities like New York, London or Shanghai, professional and good humored performances are always assured. They genuinely love what they do and that shines through in each rendition of beautiful Celtic songs like the haunting Danny Boy and exhilarating classics like Nessum Dorma. Tickets priced at BD20 per person include the concert and a light meal. Doors open at 6pm and the concert starts at 9.30pm (food will not be served after 9pm). The after party will take place in the new Zebra Lounge with a DJ and discounted prices on drinks. Call 17713093 for reservations and more details.
