French DJ Bob Sinclar told AFP he was delighted to be on a jury at the Venice film festival even though the author of hits \"Love revolution\" and \"World Hold On\" had to cancel an Ibiza gig to come. \"I am very proud they called on me because it gives a lot of credit to my work,\" the 43-year-old said in an interview in his suite at the Excelsior Hotel. Sinclar, born Christophe Le Friant, said his work on picking the best first-time director showing at the festival required \"a lot of concentration\". The festival awards will be handed out at a ceremony on Saturday. Asked whether he could see any future for himself in cinema, Sinclar said as he sat on the edge of his bed: \"I am a musician and that is my real passion. \"You have to be really, really, really into it, you have to have a spark. When I saw a DJ for the first time, it was physically intense,\" he said. The long-haired Sinclar said a lot of his music had \"a little bit of nostalgia\" for the 1970s and 1980s. \"I like to adapt them for modern tastes,\" he said. It is a recipe that has proved highly successful in the clubs. Sinclar has sold three million albums and six millions singles around the world. Success keeps him on a breakneck schedule, with around 110 gigs a year and he warns that fame can quickly become a \"drug\" that turns you arrogant.
